Who we are

This policy explains how Weekend Warehouse (“we”, “us”) handles personal information when you visit weekendwarehousett.com, place an order, shop in store, sign up for alerts, apply for a trade account or contact us. We aim to handle your information in line with the Data Protection Act, 2011 of Trinidad and Tobago and good practice.

What we collect

• Orders: your name, email address, mobile number, the items and quantities you order, whether you collect or want delivery, delivery address and instructions, order notes and your order history.
• In-store purchases: what you bought, when, and how you paid (payment method and card terminal reference – we do not receive or store full card numbers).
• Accounts: login email, password (stored in encrypted form) and account preferences.
• Trade applications: business name and type, contact name, email, phone, business address, tax registration number (if provided) and what you are interested in buying.
• Product alerts: your email (and mobile/WhatsApp number if you give it), the products, departments or brands you ask about, when you signed up, and which alerts we have sent.
• Messages: what you send us by email, WhatsApp, phone or the website.
• Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, pages visited and cookies (see below).

How we use it

• To hold and manage your orders, take payment in store, arrange delivery and contact you about your order.
• To run your account and trade account, including checking applications and showing trade prices.
• To send the alerts you ask for – back-in-stock alerts and new-arrival alerts.
• To answer your questions and handle returns, warranty queries and complaints.
• To keep our website secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and keep proper business and tax records.
• To understand how the website is used so we can improve it (using analytics, see below).

We use your information because it is needed to deal with your order or request, because you have asked for it (for example alerts), because we have a legitimate business need, or because the law requires it.

Emails, alerts and marketing

• Order emails (confirmation, reminders, payment and delivery updates) are sent because they are part of your order.
• Product alerts are sent only if you sign up. An alert does not hold stock.
• Every alert and marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also ask us to stop at any time.
• We will only send promotional messages by WhatsApp or SMS if you have agreed to receive them.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where needed with:

• Service providers who help us run the business, such as our website host, email delivery service, point-of-sale system (Oliver POS), analytics provider (Google Analytics) and card terminal provider.
• Delivery partners, who receive your name, phone number, address and delivery notes.
• Authorities, where the law requires it or to protect our rights and customers.

Some providers store information outside Trinidad and Tobago (for example in the United States). We choose providers with appropriate security.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies – small files stored by your browser. We use:

• Essential cookies to keep your cart, checkout and account working. These cannot be switched off.
• Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand which pages are used, so we can improve the site.

You can control cookies through the cookie notice on our site and your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working.

How long we keep it

We keep order and sales records for as long as needed for tax, accounting and warranty purposes, and other information only as long as it is useful for the purpose it was collected.

Keeping it safe

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls on staff accounts and limited access to cost and customer data. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your account password private.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to: see the personal information we hold about you; correct it; delete it where we no longer need it; or stop sending you alerts or marketing. Contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity and will respond within to be confirmed.

Children

Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If you think a child has given us information, please contact us.
