Terms of Sale
The terms that apply when you buy from Weekend Warehouse – in store, or by ordering online and paying in store.
About these terms
These Terms of Sale apply to every purchase from Weekend Warehouse – whether you buy in our St. Augustine store, place an order on weekendwarehousett.com and pay in store, or arrange delivery. By placing an order or buying in store you agree to these terms, together with our Returns & Refund Policy, Delivery Policy, Warranty Information and Errors & Omissions Policy.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded under the laws of Trinidad and Tobago.
What we sell
Weekend Warehouse sells new, open-box and pre-owned merchandise, including furniture, appliances, electronics, home goods and commercial items. Much of our stock comes in limited quantities, and many items are one-offs – once they are sold, they may not be restocked.
Every item is labelled with one of our standard product conditions: New, Open-box, Like New, Good, Fair or As-is – Parts Only.
The condition shown on the listing, price tag or receipt forms part of the description of the item you buy. Please read it, look at the photos and ask us if anything is unclear before you pay.
Prices and payment
- All prices are in Trinidad & Tobago dollars (TT$) and do not include Value Added Tax (V.A.T.), unless stated otherwise. V.A.T. at the current rate (12.5%) is added to your order total and shown separately at checkout and on your receipt.
- We accept cash, debit cards and credit cards in store. Card payments are processed by our card terminal provider.
- We do not take payment on the website. No card details are requested or stored online.
- Prices, promotions and availability can change without notice, but the price shown when you place an online order is honoured while that order is held (see below), unless a pricing error applies (see our Errors & Omissions Policy).
- Trade and wholesale prices are available only to approved trade accounts and may carry minimum quantities.
Ordering online (order online, pay in store)
You can place an order on our website without paying online. Here is how it works:
- Placing an order. When you check out, we record your details, the items and quantities, and whether you will collect in store or want delivery. You will receive an order confirmation email with your order number.
- What an order confirmation means. An online order is a request to buy. It holds the items for you, but it is not a completed sale until you have paid in full in store. We may decline or cancel an order before payment – for example if an item was sold in store at the same time, a pricing or stock error is found, or an order appears to be made in bad faith. If we cancel, we will tell you and nothing will be owed.
- How long we hold your items. Items on an unpaid order are taken off sale and held until the time shown in your confirmation email – normally closing time on the next trading day that is at least 24 hours after you order.
- If you don’t pay in time. When the hold ends, the order expires automatically and the items go back on sale. There is no charge. You can also cancel an unpaid order at any time from your emails or your account.
- Paying and collecting. Bring your order number and a valid photo ID. You pay in store by cash, debit or credit card. Once paid, you can take the items, or we arrange delivery if you chose it.
- Limits. We may limit the number of unpaid orders per customer and the quantity of any item per order.
Buying in store
In-store purchases are completed when you pay at the till and receive a receipt. Please inspect items – and, where possible, test electrical items – before you pay. Staff can help you check an item.
Collection, ownership and risk
- Ownership passes to you when we receive full payment.
- Risk (responsibility for loss or damage) passes to you when the item is handed to you or your nominated collector in store, or when it is delivered to the address you gave us.
- Collecting paid items. Paid items should be collected within to be confirmed. After that we may charge storage or treat the item as abandoned in line with the law.
- Someone else collecting? Let us know in advance. They will need the order number and their own photo ID.
- Large items. Please bring suitable transport and help to load. Our team will assist where we can, but we are not responsible for damage to your vehicle or to items once loaded.
Delivery
Delivery is available to select locations across Trinidad and Tobago once your order is paid. Our team confirms the delivery charge and schedule with you before dispatch. Full details are in our Delivery Policy.
Condition, returns and warranty
What you can return, and when, depends on the item’s condition and how you bought it – see our Returns & Refund Policy. What warranty applies is explained in our Warranty Information. Items sold As-is – Parts Only are sold with known faults or for parts.
Errors and availability
We work hard to keep prices, stock and descriptions accurate, but mistakes can happen – especially with one-off and fast-moving stock. How we handle them is set out in our Errors & Omissions Policy.
Trade and wholesale customers
Trade accounts are subject to approval. Approved accounts may see trade prices, minimum order quantities and pack sizes on eligible items, and may add a purchase order or reference number to orders. Quotes for larger quantities are valid for to be confirmed and are subject to availability until paid.
Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that is not foreseeable, or for business losses where you buy as a consumer. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on our website when you place an order or make a purchase applies to that purchase. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, and the courts of Trinidad and Tobago have jurisdiction.
